One good solution to protect your roof from the high winds and hail we get in the Midwest is Hail Impact Resistant Shingles (IR) commonly referred to as Class 4 Shingles.

When we re-roof our homes, we look at roofing materials for style, color and price. Many of us never give much thought to wind resistance.

Hail damage will not be visible from the ground. Your roof may not immediately leak from the damages.
